they need to have a good reason for attempting to
outlaw one of the existing subcultures .
. many subcultures have been outlawed in the past:
homosexuality [repealed]
recreational drug use [partially repealed]
and pedaphilia, one of our strongest taboos .
. are there rational reasons for
proscribing pedophile culture? yes:

. teaching safe sex to that age group is unlikely;
so, a child would have to commit to one partner,
and that is too early to make a life-long decision;
because, personalities have not developed yet,
