safely increasing testosterone

3.26: wealth/safely increasing testosterone
 . I am 53 years old in 2013,
and don't have much of a build,
so I am wondering how to increase T (testosterone),
at least enough to reduce my risk of heart disease .
. I understand elders need to supplement with DHEA
and that if progesterone is lacking in men
they will tend to get bald and prostatitis .
. I recently changed my recipe to increase T,
and I developed prostatitis;
so, let's see how .

. my interest in tribulus was first due to
some possible MAO inhibition;
I found that it caused testicular swelling
even though I use much less than the suggested dose .
. I'm in the habit of massaging a sore thyroid
and so I tried the same routine on testicles:
lightly and rapidly squeezing them .
. this caused much energy and heart thumping
which I interpreted to be T release .
. concurrently,
I became aware that emptying the prostate less
will result in higher T levels;
so, I emptied less than monthly instead of weekly .
. soon after using tribulus and having less sex,
I began having prostatitis;
but, my scalp was not sore,
indicating progesterone-estrogen was balanced,
and my DHT was not really a problem,
so I'm thinking the problem was immunity:
after getting a lot of semen build-up,
my immune system starting eating it,
and this inflamed the prostate .
. when I went back to slightly more sex,
I had quite a bit less prostate symptoms .

basics of T enhancement:

. the following theory comes from Dr.Lee
(see brief sales pitch by thecompounder).
. if you are interested in higher T,
you might also be interested in knowing how to
keep it from causing baldness or prostatitits .
. both of these side-affects can be caused by
conversion of T to dehydro-T (DHT).

. this conversion is prevented by
a progesterone level that is quite a bit higher
than one's estrogen level .
. one's fat makes quite a bit of estrogen;
and, progesterone can seem to worsen
estrogen symptoms such as sore nipples,
because prog' enhances estrogen sensitivity;
however, high estrogen is the actual problem:
men actually make a lot of progesterone
and do quite well with it .
. xenoestrogens (estrogens in the environment)
might also need to be reduced ... .

. progesterone prevents T's conversion to DHT;
so, being in my 50's and worried about deficits,
I add nightly 2mg or so of progesterone
either up my nose or near my prostate
(along the penile shaft next to anus).

. to prevent conversion of T to estrogen
I used nettle root as an aromatase inhibitor;
however, I found recently
that's not nettle's strong suit;
rather, it has been shown to help BPH
(Benign prostatic hyperplasia)
because, that is exacerbated by DHT
and nettle is also a 5α-Reductase inhibitor
that inhibits DHT like progesterone does .

. what all nettle does:
# inhibits androstenedione to estrogen
# reduces the binding capacity of SHBG for 5-alpha-DHT .
# inhibits binding of 125I-SHBG to prostate
# inhibited 5α-Reductase in mouse
# inhibited aromatase in vitro, and in mouse
other research:
. German 2004 nettle study for BPH shows promise.
. USA 2007 nettle needs more study for BPH.
. general overview of free-T with nettle .

vitamin D may help T:
. raising low vitamin D raises T;
. low D associated with low T;
. low D associated with high T-inactivator.

L-Dopa (Mucuna pruriens) may help T:
. it improved T of infertile men;
reduces stress, improves quality of semen .
. anti-diabetic in mice
(due to D-chiro-inositol and galacto-derivatives).
counteracts estrogen exposure;
. T of infertile rat model is elevated with
combination of Mucuna pruriens,
Chlorophytum borivillianum
and Eulophia campestris .

Astaxanthin & Saw Palmetto may synergize:
. Astaxanthin inhibits aromatase,
reducing conversion of androgens to estrogens.
Astaxanthin also inhibits 5-alpha-reductase
that causes testosterone to convert to DHT.
Saw palmetto is reducing both
5-alpha-reductase and SHBG activity.
A group of 42 healthy men took one of two doses
of a combination of astaxanthin
and the herb saw palmetto daily for two weeks.
Both the high-dose and low-dose groups
experienced an increase in T levels .

aromatase inhibition with chrysin:
. needs piperine for absorption
and then chrysin reduces estrogen .

free T promoters:
# protein & fish oil for reduced T binder;
# high-intensity exercise raises T .

sources of pro-hormones:

. I use nasal Dhea from MRM .

. beyond-a-century.com has other items:
# tribulus;
# progesterone Liposomal cream;
# Nettle Root Powder;
# chrysin  (5,7-dihydroxyflavone) from Passiflora
+ Bioperine (piperine extract) for chrysin;
# Saw Palmetto Extract, >45% fatty acid
+ Astaxanthin 4 mg
# DIM (Diindole Methane, from cruciferous veg);
# Broccoli Sprout Extract
# alpha lipoic acid (R and S isomers)
# Mucuna pruriens extract, 40% L-DOPA

    /autoimmune testicle may be irreversable:
    . beware the path to autoimmune disorders;
    once you start attacking your own semen,
    there may be no stopping it .

  2. wealth/T/autoimmune testicle is managed:
    . after trying to enhance my testosterone
    with sexual abstinence and tribulus,
    I was pained with auto-immune testicles;
    but, I have found some relief by
    # having sex at least weekly;
    # reducing enhancers of sperm motility
    until it's near time for sex, if at all;
    -- about weekly I use
    arginine, L-dopa, yohimbine, and tribulus,
    (my theory is that increasing sperm motility
    gets more sperm out with each ejaculation;
    some of those also help with an erection,
    but the best erection aid is graphics:
    goto images.google.com and see
    "lesbian bondage" or "bondage & discipline" .
    -- a lot of them are shocking,
    but there are plenty to surf through .
    . since having inflammation of testicles
    my endothelial function has been reduced,
    leading to edema in the legs;
    I also had a high-dose caffeine habit,
    which enhances endothelial function
    but tolerance to caffeine
    may have the opposite effect;
    so, I try to use only low-dose caffeine
    except when I'm trying to get an erection .
